The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent health regulator for England and is currently in the process of a transformation programme. This includes changes to both the registration and assessment process. This is to ensure all registrants operate safely; and also to speed up the registration process.

When you apply to register with CQC, you are saying that you will be compliant with the regulations. You will be expected as a provider, Nominated Individual or Registered Manager to know and understand these regulations, notifications, enforcement and the assessment framework.
